It’s time to wipe off your front lens and check to make sure nothing is in your teeth because I’m bringing you the inside scoop on where to find the most aesthetic coffee shops in our nation’s capital.

Now, bear with me. Coffee shops have 3 tiers .. maybe more, but for the sake of this list 3!

  1. They’re super aesthetic with sub par coffee - but let’s be honest you’re not going there for the brew.

  2. They’re pretty run of the mill but the coffee is good - so you’re in and out. Which is never bad

  3. They’re a double hitter, aesthetics + good coffee. a gift sent from the heavens!

3 is actually not always that common but DO NOT WORRY my friend, as someone who is chronically online, I have all the recommendations for the most instagrammable coffee shops in Washington DC.

    This coffee shop has such an amazing aesthetic for almost every season. Mostly because it’s in the LINE hotel which is absolutely beautiful. They have breakfast, good coffee, and tons of space to work/study. Not to mention it’s an amazing place to take photos.

    • You’ve probably seen your favorite DC fashion influencers taking photos in an “aesthetic bakery/coffee shop” and thought to yourself, hm, where could this be? Well I’m hear to tell you it is most likely Seylou! It’s bright, kind of rustic, and such a great place to chat with a friend and grab a baked good with a coffee, of course!

  • Aroma Express

    Not only are you going to get your ideal coffee photo but Aroma Cafe is a thriple threat in the coffee shop department. It’s bright, airy, and super clean. They have good coffee! Then they top it off with Good wifi. So you can do some work, bring a friend to chat with, or take a pic for the gram. This cafe is your oyster.

Tatte

I wasn’t going to add this place…. sorry! HOWEVER, I MUST because I’ve taken an obscene amount of photos in Tatte. While their coffee is not my favorite and I stick to their lemonade and their REALLY good breakfasts * drooling *. I do enjoy going to Tatte with friends and how cute each and every one of their locations are!

Somewhere Cafe

This place is by far one of the coolest coffee shops in DC. trust me, they know it. They’re a shoe store and coffee shop with good coffee and other caffeinated beverages. The white and the blue light will brighten up your feed and your mood.

I base the ratings off of the brew, customer service, Atmosphere, and if I would seriously recommend a friend to stop in here! Which is truly such a strong metric!

What’s your favorite caffeinated beverage

You can ALWAYS catch me with a Cold Brew with a SPLASH of oatmilk and usually 1-2 sugars.

Where have you gone to try coffee so far

DC is my home base, so I’ve been to over 98 coffee shops here. Other places have been NYC, Philadelphia, Spain, NJ, Northern VA, and soon Maryland
