5 DC Coffee Spots That'll Make You Feel Like a Main Character
Because Every Coffee Deserves Its Own Cinematic Moment ☕✨
Hey Sipsters!
I found myself biking around DC the other week and a thought crept into my mind. Where are all the cool and unique coffee shops in Washington DC?
So today I’m spilling the beans on 5 cool and unique coffee shops, I think would be worth a visit.
And, let’s not forget.
A unique coffee shop can mean a lot of different things, to A LOT of different people.
But in this group, we are all fam and can go by this particular framework.
Unique coffee shop [sipster edition]: a coffee shop that offers a twist on the standard cafe. That could be with stunning art work, shop design, or their curation of a third space.
What’s a third space?: a social environment distinct from the two primary spaces in a person's life: home (first space) and work (second space). Coined by sociologist Ray Oldenburg, third spaces are informal public settings where people can gather, connect, and build community.
I get so excited thinking about how cool coffee shops are for the community! They have the opportunity to bring people together and define a space/neighborhood.
So without further ado, let’s dive into the 5 coffee shops that are serving up vibes, creativity, and experiences that make each one a standout.

Coffee Fun Facts: Did you know that we could all taste the same coffee and probably have a wide variety of answers when it comes to the question of “what does it taste like?” Taste and smell are interconnected. Our smell, our enviorments, and even the variety of foods we consume can shape the flavors and notes we may find in our favorite brew.
While that sounds like a lot of variability, it’s not really. Because we all would agree on general theme of the flavor profile (floral, nutty, smoky, etc) but the small hints could be infinite. Now that’s cool!
