8 Commuter-Friendly Coffee Shops in DC that you MUST add to your list
Best Grab & Go in DC that will make any commute or mid day pick me up 1% better
Heyyyyy Sipsters,
The universe knows we all need a little pick me up. Unfortunately, while we would probably love to sit at a coffee shop and scroll on Pinterest all day (or read or… stare into the abyss), we all can not be afforded such luxuries.
Sometimes we just need something pick me up and we need it QUICK!
and FORTUNATELY, for you, my friend, you know me! Your favorite coffee shop frequenter.
This list is for you, when you’re tight on time, running errands, maybe, heading to the office, or just want something while your on-the-go.
DC has plenty of spots where you can grab a great coffee without sacrificing quality.
So, here are my top picks for the best grab-and-go coffee in the District! Let’s get into it.
1. Qargo Coffee | Address
Location: Farragut North
A cool vibe coffee shop that has 2 locations within 6 minutes of each other, talk about convenient! They’re both right off the Farragut North stop so you can hop off the metro, grab a quick coffee and get the show on the road.
@astoldbydomm 📍 Qargo Coffee 🚆 Multiple Location - both off of Farragut North Details about this coffee shop 💻 Wifi is available! ☀️ So much lighting... See more
2. Zeke’s Coffee | Address (Downtown)
Location: Multiple Locations
A true grab and go spot if you visit the one in downtown DC! From their lattes to their cold brew, safe to say i’m a big Zeke’s fan. They are also local to the DMV, originating from Baltimore.
3. Filter | Address
Location: Foggy Bottom
A central location while also serving up some delish coffee to take with you on the go! I dream of this coffee each time I find myself in Foggy Bottom, literally no better way to start off your morning.
4. Pluma | Address
Location: Union Market
A Union Market staple. Once you turn the corner from the trader joes you can just smell their freshly baked, baked goods. It’s a double treat. BUT just remember, they are closed on Mondays.
5. Soleuna | Address
Location: Adams Morgan
If you love an aesthetic coffee shop that also has good pastries then this is the spot for you. It’s an Adams Morgan staple and also just a great spot to grab a really good pastry on your way to work and some Ecuadorian coffee.
6. Bourbon Coffee | Address
Location: Farragut North
I added Bourbon Coffee to the list because of where it’s located and also because it has such good coffee that makes using the “I was in traffic” excuse SO SO worth it. It’s about 13 minutes from the metro but tucked at the bottom of some office building spaces. They have coffee, snacks and smoothies. So honestly a really good mid day pick me up!
7. Roasting Plant | Address
Location: Multiple Locations but specifically Dupont Circle
You get to CHOOSE your coffee beans! I mean, it doesn’t get any better than that. But on a serious note. Roasting Plant is located right off the Dupont metro. So if you are heading to work, going for a walk, or just looking for a coffee that taste good, it’s an easy spot to recommend.
8. Nativo | Address
Location: Farragut West / International Square
Nativo is located in The Square which also hosts a ton of other food options you can go to! However, their coffee and specifically their signature lattes are the perfect on the go staple that you NEED to add to your day!
There you have it so really high quality and seriously so good, grab and go spots in the DC area!
If you’re stopping by any of these places, tag me (@astoldbydomm) and let me know what you ordered! I’ll see you next week with more coffee adventures.
xx,
Dom
