Hey Sipsters , No way! Your friend is coming to town and you want to take them to a good coffee shop in Washington DC?
No stress I got you!
No way I can let you drop the ball on this one.
Okay, the perfect coffee date includes tasty coffee + a side quest! By side quest, I mean literally just walking around LOL
Here are 5 coffee shops I would take a friend from out of town to if they were coming to visit me in Washington DC.
5 Coffee Shops to bring a friend from out of town to Visit In DC
Grab a coffee and walk past the white house and down the large streets of down town dc. Pretend your the main character of your own movie. It’s fun, highly recommend
Coffee and walk through Adams Morgan maybe even go to the farmers market on Saturday
Easy finesse, you take them there - you got food, good coffee and speciality coffee, plus your right next to the wharf which is full of great entertainment.
It’s located in a plant shop so now you can find you new plant baby, take in the vibes, even sit inside, and then walk around Dupont
Grab a coffee and then walk metro branch trail by starting at the Althea Park.
Remember, you’re literally just catching up and chatting. These recs offers you a way to explore, chat it up, and drink scrumptious coffee all in one go.

I base the ratings off of the brew, customer service, Atmosphere, and if I would seriously recommend a friend to stop in here! Which is truly such a strong metric!
What’s your favorite caffeinated beverage
You can ALWAYS catch me with a Cold Brew with a SPLASH of oatmilk and usually 1-2 sugars.
Where have you gone to try coffee so far
DC is my home base, so I’ve been to over 98 coffee shops here. Other places have been NYC, Spain, NJ, Northern VA, and soon Maryland
