Hey Sipsters,
Now, Summer is coming to an end and you’re itching to tell your friends which coffee shops got a gold star in satiating our summer coffee itch!
Plus, we have to celebrate the last few weeks of summer before it’s completely away from us!
Trust me, it’s more fun to celebrate all the seasons to it’s fullest - Coming from someone who is lowkey obsessed with Fall.
Do not worry, even after you receive these coffee shop recommendations, it is not within my nature to ever tell you that it’s time to switch your cold brews for hot lattes!
Nope!
Team Iced Coffee all year round! Who’s with me?

Here are the 4 Coffee Shops To Visit in Washington DC before the end of summer if you’re still holding on to this warm season!
Blank street
While I’m not one to highlight chain coffee shops, Blank Street gets high marks for fun caffeinated summer drinks! My favorite by far was Brown Sugar Shaken Cold Brew! Truly delicious! Be warned, it’s so good, you may finish the whole drink before you step foot outside the coffee shop.

Grace street (tap here for video)
When Grace Street Coffee came back into the DC scene this summer, I think the whole city jumped for joy. Well, may that was just me! Either way, the Kyoto coffee is the essence of summer! Strong, refreshing, and if you love silky smooth cold brew then this is the perfect place to celebrate the last few weeks of summer.
Bourbon Coffee
Such a wonderful coffee shop located in Downtown DC. This coffee shop is perfect for all seasons but this summer was so great because of it’s variety of drinks and their cold brew is very good!! The coffee is strong though, so don’t go chugging on me!

Somewhere Cafe
This coffee shop gets swept under the radar all the time but it’s a great place to sit outside or grab a coffee and walk the waterfront near Navy Yard. It’s a coffee shop and sneaker store all in one with a good cold brew too!

How often are these Newsletters |
No worries, I wont spam you! They will be every Tuesday Morning! With different coffee shop recommendations from different adventures that you can save with with downloadable maps or through your socials. My goal is to share all the great coffee shops so you can create your own adventure or find a nice place to do work in for the week! |
How do you rank the coffee shops? |
I base the ratings off of the brew, customer service, Atmosphere, and if I would seriously recommend a friend to stop in here! Which is truly such a strong metric! |
What’s your favorite caffeinated beverage |
You can ALWAYS catch me with a Cold Brew with a SPLASH of oatmilk and usually 1-2 sugars. |
Where have you gone to try coffee so far |
DC is my home base, so I’ve been to over 98 coffee shops here. Other places have been NYC, Spain, NJ, Northern VA, and soon Maryland |
How can we support this journey |
Sharing any articles or post truly means the world to me! I also have a “Buy me a coffee” page, so if you want to support this journey financially and give your girl a coffee, I would love love that! |
Who are you? |
My name is Domonique, but my friends call me Dom. I am a 27 year old coffee lover who fell in love with exploring coffee shops after retiring from professional track and field. It’s been my favorite way to bring adventure into my life, meet AWESOME new people, and dive deeper into this community! I’m really happy you are here. |
